39 Steps at the Barn Theatre

Madcap hilarity descends on the Barn Theatre until August 10th

As the Barn Theatre says farewell to the hugely successful and critically acclaimed five-star production of Henry V there’s another one hot on the heels. And this one’s a real corker!

The Barn’s next production, The 39 Steps, will be a comedy spectacle for all the family and definitely one not to be missed. The show opens on July 10th and runs until August 10th with great family deals and ticket prices starting from just £10.

A cast of four, deftly takes on a Hitchcock classic, in a wonderfully inventive comic- thriller parody adaptation of John Buchan’s 1915 novel.

The 39 Steps follows the incredible adventures of our handsome hero Richard Hannay, complete with stiff-upper-lip and British gung-ho spirit as he encounters dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents, and devastatingly beautiful women. The show is a frantic farce, jampacked with slapstick humour, a barrage of accents and hat-swaps culminating in chaos and calamity.

This wonderfully inventive and gripping comedy thriller features four fearless actors, playing 140 roles in a fast-paced fun, thrilling action and a colossal number of costume changes.

For those audience-goers who enjoyed the Barn Theatre’s production of The Hound of the Baskervilles, you’ll love The 39 Steps. Madcap hilarity for all the family.
