Happy first birthday to the Alliston Centre, Home of the Growth Hub

Flavoursome Party!

Growth Hub Oct 2019

Business people from Cirencester and beyond gathered to celebrate a successful first year of the Alliston Centre – home to the Growth Hub and Farm491, which are dedicated to nurturing business enterprises.

Local food and drink producers provided a wonderful array of refreshments, while guests mingled and networked at the centre, by the Royal Agricultural University, which first opened its doors in July 2018.

Verity Payne, Centre Manager for Farm491, which supports agritech businesses, said the first year had exceeded expectations. More than 250 businesses have been helped so far by Farm 491 and have collectively attracted £16million in investment.

Yesim Nicholson, Manager of the Growth Hub, which supports Gloucestershire-based businesses, said many at the celebration had been present at the launch last year.

She said: “It’s been a very successful and busy first year, and we would like to thank everybody who has supported us and especially thank all the local food and drink producers who have come along today.”

Great time at the growth hub!
