What is physiotherapy?

Many people are unaware of what physiotherapy actually involves.  Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness, pain or disability by tailoring a treatment specific to your needs or condition.

What physiotherapists do…

There are public (NHS) and private physiotherapy practices.  The public funded services can sometimes leave patients with a poor view of physiotherapy.

Private Practices like the Markland Clinic take a different approach. Our goal is not only to treat your pain or injury but to take a whole person approach to a patient’s health, well-being and lifestyle putting you at the centre of any treatment plan.

Why physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy can help you to lead an active pain-free life regardless of age. We are specialists in neuromusculoskeletal and can help with;

  • Joint Pain, Arthritis
  • Sporting Injuries big or small
  • All spinal issues
  • All ages/stages of life from kids to pregnancy and older aging
  • Preventative treatment e.g. balance work, strengthening programs
  • Rehabilitation (Injury, Stroke)

We see a wide range of clients at the Markland Clinic.  One patient, Roy, came to see us after he started to suffer with neck pain. After a few sessions with our founder Kate, Roy was able to summit Mont Blanc and run the Chamonix Vertical Kilometre!  His problem had been posture.

How we can help you…

You don’t need to have an injury. If you are suffering with pain, niggles, discomforts or stiffness or simply need advice about how to improve your posture, we can help. We provide a whole range of services.  Pop in for a chat at our Cirencester clinic, call 01285 654059 or visit http://www.marklandclinic.com

Care is in everything we do, from the first greeting to your treatment and all the little bits in between. It’s all about putting you first.
