Hello to all our listeners
Last month was a particularly busy time for our volunteers at Corinium Radio! As your local community radio station, we continue to broadcast every single day even though we still aren’t able to return to our studio in Bingham House yet. Our programme-makers ‘work from home’ recording their shows from behind their own front door!
In July, I was delighted to welcome a new recruit to our team, Rebecca Halifax. Some of you may already know Rebecca as she is the Cirencester Town Councillor representing St Michael’s Ward but you are now able to meet her in a different way as she presents her show, Cirencester Life, each month. Focusing, as you can imagine, on our fabulous market town, Rebecca covers topical subjects and tackles issues faced by our community, shining a spotlight on some of our local heroes who do amazing work for our community. Tune in on any device (smartphone, PC or smart speaker such as Alexis) to www.coriniumradio.co.uk and click Listen Again to hear Rebecca’s new show every month.
At the start of lockdown, we started to record the views of local people who were living and working through a time of great change. As the lockdown loosens, we are continuing to capture people’s experiences of emerging into a new version of normal so, if you would like to be part of Corinium Radio’s Collective Stories, please contact me on 07776 144033 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
