Volunteer Drivers Needed for New Cirencester Community Transport Service

Could you be a volunteer driver?

Cotswold Friends is putting out a plea for volunteer drivers, to support the launch of its Community Transport Service in Cirencester.  Where people are unable to drive themselves,   or find Public Transport difficult to use, Cotswold Friends can help.  The charity’s Community Transport Service has been very successfully running in the North Cotswolds for many years.

Could you drive for Cotswold Friends?

Amanda Howard, CEO of Cotswold Friends said, “There is so much to be gained from volunteering.  Our drivers tell us that they feel more connected to their community and enjoy meeting new people.  Drivers are paid 50p for every mile driven. Community Transport really is a vital service.”

A driving role provides complete volunteering flexibility. Drivers let the Bookings Office know when they want to drive and what types of journey they are happy to do.  Interested? Please get in touch with Volunteer Manager Sheryl on Tel: 01608 697007 or email:sheryl@cotswoldfriends.org.

Cotswold Friends will soon be taking bookings for local residents.  Look out for more details in the near future.
