Ciren Scene Magazine is very proud to be sponsoring the Creatives’ Champion Award for the ninth year running.
The Creatives’ Champion is defined as a club, company, venue or individual who helps our local creative people to showcase their talents. They may be creative people themselves, but it’s how they promote others that counts for this Award.
We are very blessed that the Cirencester area has an abundance of authors, musicians, actors and entertainers, but it’s the army of ‘back room guys’ that let them shine.
Ciren Scene would like you to bring them out of the shadows to give them the applause they deserve, by giving them your vote.
This year we have had a huge number of votes and the top two contenders were very close. I’d like to give a special mention to our runner up, Cirencester Singers. This very popular local group is a fun, friendly, female community choir open to all ages and abilities!
However, the winner is a not-for-profit community group with a passion for providing theatre opportunities to as many people as possible. Not only at the Sundial Theatre, but also with pop-up performances as well as writing and producing radio plays with Corinium Radio and holding skills workshops. They have thrived throughout lockdown with their quirky performances of ‘The Show Must go Online’.
The winners of Ciren Scene Creatives’ Champion are Cirencester Theatre Company.
