So, what does Business Support from the Growth Hub look like?

As we kick off 2021, we thought it would be worth looking at what Business Support looks like and demonstrate how we have helped local business ‘Non Solo Pasta’

The Growth Hub is part of a wider network of business support options in Cirencester, whose aim is to help businesses of Cirencester and the surrounding areas flourish.

One of those business is Non Solo Pasta.  Their relationship with the Growth Hub started back in December 2018 when they were invited to take part in the networking event called ‘Let’s Graze’ and as Matteo and Clara would agree, “they haven’t looked back since”!

The next step was to be signed up to the Growth Hub Business Navigator support, which includes 3 hours of free support with an expert in business to understand the challenges faced. Stephen Meyer took time to understand the business and how he felt they could help, including expert led free workshops, introductions to trading standards, food safety teams, Cotswold District Council amongst others.

As Stephen identified Non Solo Pasta as a high growth business he was able to signpost them to the next level of support, which is a Business Guide. Business Guides offer an additional 12 hours of support to help businesses with a number of areas including: Finance, strategy, Innovation, Sales and marketing, people and skills, operations and export. The couple wanted to enter the Food Glorious Food competition (run by the Midcounties Co-op) and we helped them connect with experts to develop their packaging ready for retail commercialisation, which would be a requirement if they were successful in the competition. Non Solo Pasta was one of the 10 finalists in March 2019. In January 2020 they began distributing their retail range to 16 Midcounties Coop food supermarkets located across the Cotswolds.
