Market Update May 21

The property market has bounced back to life with a mini boom both in the sales and the letting market. We are receiving a very high number of enquiries for properties in Cirencester and surrounding villages. As many homeowners search for larger properties with more ground floor living space and bigger rear gardens, Cirencester has always been a popular choice for families. With great schools and a thriving town centre, it’s no surprise why so many people want to live here.
The pandemic has clearly changed peoples outlook, with less places to go and more people spending online, homeowners are looking to invest more into their homes. With continued low interest rates and less money being spent on going out, we have noticed a change in buyer habits. Many properties which would have been out of buyer’s reach are now more affordable and appealing.
As working from home is the new norm, buyers are moving from London and the busier cities to live in market towns like Cirencester, we’re receiving a higher number of calls from those wishing to relocate.
The lettings market has also been very buoyant, often homeowners will sell their property moving into a rental, providing the opportunity to check out the area especially if they are relocating. Also, those that are looking for a particular style of property or wish to build their own will rent enabling them to be in a stronger position should the ideal property or plot become available.
We’re literally ‘SOLD OUT’ and urgently require more properties to sell or let, we currently have a sales commission offer of just 0.9% +vat (1.08 inclusive) for a limited period. Our warm and friendly team are always on hand to offer advice whether looking to buy, let or invest in Gloucestershire or Wiltshire – our office line is 01285 239486.
