90th Birthday Celebration for Rambler Member

Coralie in the centre!

Coralie Dustin will be 90 years old on 10 October and has been an active member of our Ramblers group since 1989 as a Walk leader, Secretary, Member of the Footpath Committee and other roles. On Wednesday 6 October to celebrate her birthday. Twenty-one family and friends took her on a short walk from the Gateway Centre off the Spine Road. On the walk she was joined by her daughter, Sue, grand daughter, Laura and great granddaughter, Florence.

Afterwards 19 of us had lunch at The Old Boathouse next door. At the lunch Coralie was presented with her birthday card signed by over 40 of her rambler friends and a gift of the Burlington Tile cushion kit (designed by the Victoria and Albert Museum), and garden vouchers for her garden and allotment.

Between 2004 and 2009 Coralie led many walks ranging from 6 to 10 miles (and was still walking with us up to a few years ago).  Some of the other roles were Path Maintenance Volunteer and Independent Representative on Gloucestershire Area Ramblers Council.
