It’s been long time coming, but finally Cirencester Library is happy to announce the return of ‘Library Club’. Taking place on the 2nd Friday of each month from 10.30-11.30am and starting on the 8th of April, the club is a chance for people to meet, choose some books and have a cup of tea. It is open to all and for those who may have difficulty getting into town, there is a free minibus provided which will pick up and drop off. We know people may have been isolated over the past two years and we are hoping to be able to offer a place to once again socialise and browse our large collection of books. Help will be on hand to get you re-acquainted with all of our services (and make the tea). The Library is fully accessible. If you are interested in coming along and require minibus collection, please call 01285 659813 to book your seat.
As well as The library club we also offer two groups for families and young children. Every Tuesday from 10.30am is ‘Baby Bounce and Rhyme’ where little ones can enjoy songs and fun and adults can join in too as well as meeting other carers. On Wednesday at 10am and 11am we have ‘Stories with Lisa’, a sensory story session for pre-schoolers & home educated children, which is also suitable for children who are neuro-diverse & differently-abled. These events are free and do not require booking.
The library is open 6 days a week and offers a wide range of services from books and digital content, to our children’s sensory area or a quiet place to study. You’ll be surprised at what the library can offer. Membership is free so why not pop in and see what inspires you!
