Cirencester Outdoor Market & Events

Welcome to spring! After a wet and grey winter, we’re beginning to see the first awakenings of new life with beautiful blossoms and splashes of colour amongst the beautiful countryside that surrounds us.  Along with the emergence of spring, there come some exciting markets and events and we’re delighted to be expanding and diversifying what we deliver to the town. We held our first outdoor Vegan Market on the 13^th March, delivered by Vegan Markets, and we’re already looking forward to their other markets scheduled in June and September.  

This month, as well as our marvellous regular markets we have a number of speciality markets to look forward to.  Streetfood Markets will be back on the 3^rd April, with their new Pop-up Street Food Market. There are extra indoor and outdoor General Saturday Markets scheduled, as well as and a Vintage Market on the 24^th April.  

We’re really looking forward to the return of Beard & Sabre’s 2022 Twilight Markets, which start on the 23^rd April and will be held on the 4^th Saturday of the month until September (excluding August) between 6pm and 10pm. A real indication that summer’s on its way!

Looking a little further ahead, the Town Council’s Community Services Team is working hard to deliver a Health & Wellbeing Week between 12^th and 19^th June. Taking place in and around the Market Place and Abbey Grounds, this free community event is the first of its kind in the town.  Working in partnership with other organisations and groups, our aim is to deliver a multi-agency event showcasing what’s available for the community in and around Cirencester.  There’s full schedule each day, including the NHS and local health services, charities and groups, sports and activity providers and the armed forces.  The week also includes Charter, Farmers’ and Vegan Markets, displays and activities to get involved with, and Cirencester’s first Pride event! It’s shaping up to be a really exciting week so look out for more details coming soon on our website, social media and local media.

There’s plenty more scheduled throughout the year, with barely an empty weekend on the Market Place.  Further 2022 highlights include Cotswold Markets’ 2-day Food Festival, two visits from the France at Home French Markets, Global Asia’s Asian Food Festival, Summer and Autumn weekend markets delivered by Market Square Group and of course the Mop Fairs and our Advent & Christmas Markets.
