The Phoenix Festival is Back!

Whole Lotta Led

The Phoenix Festival team are very happy to announce that this much loved and much missed community event will be back this August Bank Holiday weekend in the Abbey Grounds, Cirencester.

This free to enter two-day music and arts festival is due to take place on 27th & 28th August and will be bringing the community together once again after a two-year absence.

The festival will showcase an array of locally based artists and performers, as well as special guests: Whole Lotta Led – THE tribute to Led Zeppelin and Michael Starring Ben – a tribute to the King of Pop.

Whole Lotta Led will be topping the bill on Saturday and are the longest running fulltime professional tribute to Led Zeppelin with more than 25 years’ experience and over 1500 shows to their name.

Michael Starring Ben

Expect a world class delivery as they bring to “life” one of the biggest rock bands ever and celebrate and pay homage to their incredible music, including Zeppelin’s most popular and influential works Stairway to Heaven, as well as showcasing many, many others. This is their last year touring, so they promise to go out in true rock ‘n’ roll style.

On Sunday, Michael Starring Ben, features the UK’s ultimate Michael Jackson tribute star Ben Bowman who has been touring Europe and the UK with this spectacular show.

Ben’s mesmerising, energetic and dynamic performance, will give you a taste of what it was like to see Michael Jackson live in concert. His band, dazzling costumes and iconic dance routines, promise to deliver the most authentic, lively and powerful re-creation of the legendary superstar that audiences will see anywhere. Ben will showcase the greatest hits of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 and will include Beat It, Billie Jean, Thriller, Man in the Mirror and many more.

Glen Moreman Festival Manager said: “We can’t wait to bring The Phoenix Festival back to the Abbey Grounds. It’s going to be such a special weekend experiencing live music and performance again with so many fantastic artists and seeing everyone having some long overdue festival fun with family and friends”.

The festival will have two stages, (the Cozy Powell Stage and the Phoenix Stage), a performance arena, fairground rides, as well as some festival traders, food and drink. Local artists and performers have already been contacted and once finalised, further announcements will follow.

The festival has raised over its’ £12,000 target on its fundraising page but it is still possible to donate. All funds make a massive difference and go direct to keeping this festival viable.
