LINC Charity Jubilee Cycle Ride – Sunday 17 July 2022

A great day out to improve your fitness and help local people undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments.

The LINC annual 3 Counties Cycle Ride is taking place on Sunday 17th July 2021. This year with a Jubilee theme!

This great ride will start and finish at Tewkesbury Rugby Club and participants have a choice of the 64 Km or 32 Km route. Both routes offer stunning views through Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire – the three counties served by LINC charity.

On the longer route, Bromsberrow Village Hall will be open for refreshments and a well-earned break. At the end of the ride, cyclists and their families are welcome to our usual hearty BBQ and bar at the Rugby Club.

We are encouraging both team and individual entries this year, with prizes for the best dressed jubilee-themed participants, and the most money raised!

Every penny raised will help support local people through challenging intensive chemotherapy treatments.

LINC – The Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy Fund gives physical and emotional support to local people with leukaemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers. It gives financial support to those in difficulty as a result of their illness and provides new facilities and equipment as required. The emotional support is provided by our two clinical psychologists at a cost of £60K per year.

Sponsorship is not essential, but it is hugely helpful to us – all participants are encouraged to ask friends and family to support them in this challenge.

Typical feedback from our patients:

“I can’t praise the LINC funded Rendcomb ward (Cheltenham General Hospital) enough, it was far more comfortable and bright and gave you that sense of home which you certainly need when going through such a tough treatment.”

“I have met some fantastic people through LINC and hope to continue being a friend and supporter of the Charity for a very long time. Thank you NHS and LINC.”
