Cirencester Ramblers February 23 Walks

Wed 1 Feb: CIRENCESTER RAMBLERS Leaving Coates towards Royal Agricultural University till Monarch’s Way, southwest we follow field boundaries to Thames and Severn Canal. Tow path to the start of Sapperton Tunnel, cross rail line before heading back to Coates. (Travel £2) 4.5mi / 7.2km. Elise Rowley 07902 918123. Sun 5 Feb: CIRENCESTER RAMBLERS From Goods Shed CP in Tetbury to the Trouble House via tracks, field and rail line.  Heading up to Ashley follow Monarch’s Way back to Tetbury. (Travel £3) 6.5mi / 10.5km Jane Bell. 07718 967299. Sun 12 Feb: CIRENCESTER RAMBLERS Gateway Centre, Spine Road, GL7 5TL, towards Cricklade along Thames and Severn canal tow path. Head to Cerney Wick then South Cerney via disused railway track.  Rejoin tow path to return to our start point. May be muddy in places. (Travel £2) 5.4mi / 8.7km   Antoinette Moorby 07969 506338

Sun 26 Feb: CIRENCESTER RAMBLERS Starting from large layby on right hand side of B4425 (signed Ladbarrow Farm), just after turning to Aldsworth, before the pub. One short steep descent, and a steady climb from the B4425 to Ladbarrow. The main point of interest is RAF Windrush, with a preserved control tower, a couple of hangars and 2 commemorative plaques.  1 refreshment stop at the airfield, Travel £2)            6mi / 9.7km  Andrew Coles 01285 656974, 07967 151029
