CCOC Chamber Breakfast Meeting: The Happiness Coach

Chamber Breakfast Meeting at RAU, 30 March 2023

Cressida Landless, right.

Cressida Landless, the Happiness Coach, gave a talk to the Chamber members and guests over breakfast at the Royal Agricultural University, last month. She explained that happy people are positive and productive. It’s not about laughing all the time, though that can benefit you in moderation.  Practice being comfortable in your own skin and to be quietly proud and confident about your particular skills and achievements.

Take steps to evaluate your life realistically and not judge yourself harshly. No-one can achieve their best when under endless self-inflicted criticism!

A situation is what it is, but you can reframe your response to it.  Changing your thoughts and how you approach your life, can help you deal with difficult times.

Cressy shared her story of how, after two divorces, she decided to stop depending on other people to make her happy, and to take steps to achieve it for herself. She braved new experiences and learned from them. She gravitated towards people with similar values. Cressy took charge of her life, embracing both the good and bad times, and took back her power. She also launched her own business to help others do the same.

Cressy now presents courses on “Happiness and How to Achieve It”.

Thanks to our hosts at the RAU, who provided a generous spread, including full English breakfasts with toast and jams, and a cold buffet of fruit salad, smashed avocado, yoghurts and pastries – and we sneaked a few croissants home after.
