The Old Rectory & Sculpture

The Old Rectory

Tucked away in the Cotswolds just outside Cirencester is The Old Rectory in Colesbourne, a special spot that effortlessly combines top-notch dining with the beauty of art.

Mindful to keep the character and charm of the grand Victorian building, new owners Michelle and Jason Aplin recently refurbished the licenced restaurant with their acquired antiques inside and Michelle’s sculptures outside. Come and see the carefully created handmade pieces set against the serene Cotswold landscape, offering a blend of reflection and inspiration.

Led by Cotswolds Chef of the Year 2020 winner Dan Richards, whose expertise and enthusiasm radiates in his delicious classic cuisine, using locally sourced fresh ingredients. “The Rectory Tiered Luncheon” takes the conventional Afternoon Tea to the next level, or the Summer Set Menu with in-house smoked produce has something for everyone. The Old Rectory Sunday Roast is one of the best in the area.

Take your pick.

The walled cottage garden is the perfect place to relax and savour a locally brewed beer or chilled glass of wine. Our son Kalon will ensure your beverage requirements are accommodated. Try our exclusive range of cocktails, including a Raucous Rectory Rum, the refreshing Proverbial Poms Pimm’s, or a Wicked Whisk.

Our range of tea and coffee is sourced from local company Fire & Flow, whose passion to deliver superior flavour is admirable.

The Old Rectory Restaurant and Sculpture Garden is the new Cotswolds in-place to be. Open midday to 4pm. Closed Wednesday. Buffet banquets available for group bookings. Please advise any specific requirements. Alcohol free drinks available. Doggies on leads welcome.
