The Barn Theatre opens its exciting 2025 season with a new hilarious production, A ROLE TO DIE FOR, which runs from 30th JANUARY – 15th MARCH; a wickedly funny comedyabout castingfor the world’s most famous spy.
Everyone needs a “pick me up” after Christmas and New Year, so this show will be the perfect tonic! Think other hilarious Barn productions like, 39 Steps, Around the World in 80 Days, Murder For Two and Sherlock Holmes and The Whitechapel Fiend, and you’ll get the sense of fun an up lifting enjoyment that this show will bring.
The riotously funny world premiere written by JORDAN WALLER is directed by Olivier Award winner DEREK BOND and also stars another Olivier award winner, actress JANIE DEE in a cast of five.
Waller said: “I am over the moon that Janie Dee will be leading this production: she is truly a star to die for.”
Bond added: “Janie is simply one of the best actors in the country. I can’t wait to see her get her teeth into this.”
The play follows Deborah (played by Janie Dee), tasked with casting the lead in Hollywood’s most famous spy franchise. Her chosen actor withdraws the day before the announcement, forcing her to find a replacement as filming looms. Hilarity reigns!
