Raising Funds for St Peter’s Church
Following a huge local response when we brought it back last summer after an absence of 12 years, the Siddington Village Fete returns again this year by popular demand!
It will be held Saturday 21st June on the playing fields between 1pm and 4pm.Â
There will be children’s games, a plant stall and a big raffle, a tombola and the very popular ‘water or wine?’ bottle game. All these plus various craft stalls, activities and games galore!
The Dog Show was a new addition and given most of the village have dogs, was highly subscribed, with proud dogs and even prouder owners parading their rosettes casually past the stalls afterwards. It may be a hard act to follow, but we expect an even bigger turn out this year.
All well-behaved dogs are welcome to enter the Show and to enjoy the Fete with their owners, but they must be kept on leads and under control.
Once again the church ladies are running the refreshment tent including their wonderful home baked-cakes and scones, teas, coffees and soft drinks. Nearby is the ice-cream stand, the Beer Tent and barbecue. It’s guaranteed you will not starve! There will definitely be extra beer this year, as the hot weather last time produced a rush on the beer to such an extent that in the end, we only had wine left to offer. So sad.
Live music from local bands will add to the summery atmosphere of this typical English afternoon, only taking a break for the announcement of the raffle prizes by our local ‘compere for the day’ who is always entertaining.

Plant Sale in Aid of the Village Show on 7th September
If you can donate any plants, produce or seedlings to the plant stall, please bring them to Jan at 18 Parkway, Siddington, 07875 071555, by the 18th June.
