Andre Rieu is celebrating his 75th birthday with a compilation of his greatest performances with his Strauss Orchestra, many of which have not been shared with a worldwide audience before. Kids will love Snow White, a live-action musical that has been controversially snubbed by critics but still has a popularity rating of 72% amongst its target audience of pre-teens. Flow is the silent, innovative Oscar-winning animation about a devastating flood and the need for survivors to work together that will appeal to all ages. The Seed of the Sacred Fig is a thriller set in Iran that was also nominated for many awards this year in the Best International Film category. Rotten Tomatoes, the film review site, has given this a 97% approval rating. Please do your research and come to see it. Likewise, we have the latest from Director Mike Leigh (Nuts in May) called Hard Truths, which many feel was cheated of Oscar nominations.
Oscar-winning Director Bong Joon Ho (Parasite) switches genre to Comedy Sci-fi with Mickey 17, a highly enjoyable tale of an “expendable” clone who causes mischief in space by not dying. Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Spy, Assassin is a thrilling biopic about a man of faith as he gets caught up in a plot to kill Hitler. Finally, we have Bridget Jones – Mad About the Boy, the weepy comedy about a widow looking for love. As the first screening sold out, here’s a nudge to book early and get the best seats!
