Hello, I’m Sheila Lloyd-Graham and I present a show on Cirencester Radio called “Lady She and Friends”. I would love to showcase in Ciren Scene, the wonderful guests I have had the honour to interview in our 20th Year:
My first Guest was a World Champion Free Faller, Jackie Smith, the first woman to join the Red Devils’ Team. She served with me in the Women’s Royal Army Corps (WRAC) in the 70s in Aldershot, and I saw all the equipment she had to use during her many displays around the country. She was awarded the Para Red Beret in the air! But she still wore our WRAC Cap Badge on it!

Jackie became World Champion Free Faller on leaving the army and is now in The International Hall of Fame in the USA.
That show is followed by an interview with fellow veteran PTIs (Physical Training Instructors) on tour in Cyprus. Susan Jenning and Pat Rosewell were both gymnasts and tell stories about their lives during and after their Military Careers. We are all now in our 70s, and we have a tradition of flying our sarongs on Venus Beach in Paphos every two years for those loved ones no longer with us.

In the 3rd programme I interview some amazing characters this year at The Cotswold Show organised by Earl Bathurst. They include a lady called Jane, the owner of the dancing sheep displays, and the owners of the Camel Racing, amongst others.
You can hear all the shows on Listen Again at www.cirencesterradio.co.uk
Pop the kettle on & enjoy.
