Hello Everyone
Just a quick update to let you know we raised just over £2,930 at the Christmas Fayre at Bingham Hall on November 23rd. Despite the dreadful storms, vendors and visitors braved the elements and came along to support us. Only two stalls couldn’t make it.
Many thanks to all of you who so kindly baked such lovely cakes for our refreshment stall which was kept super busy all day! Your cakes were admired and consumed and thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks also to all our Macmillan Team, volunteers and friends who came to help and a huge thanks to Sharon & Tony King of the Bingham Hall who, as always, worked tirelessly and went above and beyond in the days leading up to and on the day to ensure Cirencester Macmillan had a successful day with smooth running as they do with all our events held at Bingham Hall.
We have decided this will be our last Christmas Fayre as we feel there are now so many organised locally it has reached saturation point – BUT – we have a new event to replace it, and all will be revealed in the New Year!
All that was on top of the £2,835.99 raised at the Bangers & Mash Quiz on November 9th.
Emma Wright, Our Area Team Manager, sent us a letter in which she thanks us for our incredible fund raising in a successful year which isn’t over yet!
So far, we have raised just over £48,000 this year and are well on our way to raising just over £50,000 this year and might just reach the claim to be Macmillan’s 2nd highest fundraising team in the whole of the UK!
We still have the Macmillan’s Christmas Roast December , a collecting day at Tesco Kings Meadow and collecting with the male Voice Choir to go.
