Cirencester’s Largest Free-to-Enter Event
The Phoenix Festival is back in the Abbey Grounds this August Bank Holiday weekend, bringing three days of music, arts, and community celebration – and it’s completely free to attend!
Saturday 23rd August
We open the gates at 10:00am with a special event welcoming Orpheus to Cirencester. Enjoy a vibrant puppet parade through the Abbey Grounds, leading to the festival site, followed by a mass performance of “A Song for Orpheus”, celebrating 200 years since the discovery of the Orpheus Mosaic. Choirs, schools, and individuals will unite in song for this unique moment.
At 12:00pm, the main stage comes alive with an exciting lineup of live music, culminating in a spectacular headline performance by Vicky Jackson as P!nk on Saturday night.

Sunday 24th August
Gates open at 11:00am, with live music from 12:00pm. Enjoy another packed day of entertainment, finishing with Cirencester’s very own Aren-E as Elvis!
Across the weekend, explore our Creative & Wellbeing Area, Community Arena, stalls, funfair, and plenty of food and drink.
NEW for 2025 – Phoenix Chilled on Bank Holiday Monday!
On Monday 25th August, we’re extending the weekend with a relaxed “Phoenix Chilled” session from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Enjoy a laid-back day featuring an acoustic stage in the bar and an Ibiza-style chillout DJ set. Using a smaller section of the site, this extra day helps us make the most of our existing infrastructure – and raise much-needed funds to keep the Phoenix flying and the festival free to enter for all.

Join us for a weekend packed with music, community spirit, and creativity. We can’t wait to welcome you!
