Sarah Jones, who runs Focus Tutoring UK, has enjoyed a successful year supporting students in and around the Cirencester area. During the 2025/26 academic year, 24 tutees (ranging from 11-18 years’ old) were supported by Sarah with their English skills.
In each weekly hour-long 1-1 session, tutees received tailored guidance designed to: build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and increase skills.
Sarah’s 20 year career as an English teacher and Head of Department (both in mainstream and independent education), alongside an MSc in Education (teaching and learning), a PGCE, BA (hons), and chartered teacher of English status means that she is quickly able to assess, support, and develop sessions that work for each and every tutee…focusing on an approach that not only targets academic improvement, but also works on reducing worries surrounding English, and developing effective study habits that last beyond the classroom. The results are plain to see; confident young people with improved self-belief who go on to make at least 2 grades progress between mocks and formal examinations.
Looking ahead to June, Sarah is now welcoming enquiries for the 2026/27 academic year. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged for families seeking supportive English tuition both online and in-person.
