Gaynor says: “I became involved with The Phoenix Festival through my role as Treasurer (my day job being Co-Director of The NumberCrunchers!) of CCDT and, having seen the huge efforts made by all the Team for The Phoenix Festival, I decided to try and “do my bit” by running the Cirencester 10km to raise funds. Having show jumped and played polo for Great Britain, I’m not a stranger to competitive sports, but I confess that the thought of using my own legs to propel me this distance is somewhat daunting – but I will give it a good go for such a good cause!”
The Phoenix Festival is a free music event held annually in Cirencester, supported entirely by volunteers who tirelessly raise funds all year round to bring this amazing event to life. CCDT oversees and underwrites The Phoenix as well as many other local projects including the Cirencester History Festival.
