Corinium Ales: Ready for the Phoenix Festival Sat 29 and Sun 30 Aug 2026

Cirencester’s award winning local microbrewery, Corinium Ales, are all set for another busy brewing session for the annual Phoenix Festival due to take place over the August bank holiday weekend in the Abbey Grounds.

Each year several different Corinium beers, plus beer from three other local microbreweries, make up the tasty real ale bar menu. The Corinium Ales bar has grown from just 8 casks at the first Phoenix in 2013, to over 50+ today and include their well-known and popular ales Corinium Gold I, Firebird VI amber and Mosaic pale ale, plus a special annual festival beer.

Lucy Cordrey Corinium Ales said “It’s a real honour to still be running our bar at this fantastic free-to-enter community event since it started 14 years ago! Corinium Ales has “grown up” with the Phoenix and given annual rising costs, we’re amazed how such an incredible volunteer led event still manages to come together each year. It’s a huge testament to the local community and will always be very special to us.”

Lucy added “each year we like to have a bit of fun and invite folks to come up with a name for the festival beer. The name must link with the tribute acts in some way. The person with the winning name wins a free pint from our bar over the weekend and a £10 Corinium Ales voucher!”

The tribute acts this year are: Good Times ~ A Tribute To Nile Rodgers & Chic on Saturday and the Spice Girls Experience on Sunday.
