Siddington Park, the Retirement Village with a Beating Heart

Siddington Park is a modern lifestyle village for the over 60s, on the outskirts of Cirencester, by the retirement community specialist Rangeford Villages. The village, which has been expertly designed with a twist on Cotswold elegance, comprises of 123 contemporary one, two and three bedroom apartments, communal facilities and 24/7 support services enabling hassle free living and maintenance for its owners.

Situated on a former 12 acre parkland site, the grounds feature beautifully landscaped gardens, spacious outdoor seating areas, a boule court, and raised beds and allotments for owners interested in gardening. The pet-friendly village also provides endless dog-walking trails and a specially designed ā€˜Bark Park’ with an abundance of green space to encourage an active life for seniors.

The apartments pair modern, premium fittings with open plan layouts, spacious kitchens, and walk-in showers, each property is sensitively designed with the needs of the over 60s in mind. What’s more, the latest show home design by Rangeford’s recently appointed Design Curator Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen really raises the bar for design in the retirement sector.

At the centre of the village lies ā€˜The Pavilion’ a five-star health and wellbeing complex with its outdoor terrace and seating area, a social hub where owners can enjoy ample space to get together. The Pavilion is home to a range of state of the art facilities, which have been thoughtfully implemented for owners to enjoy high standards of living in their later life.  Facilities include a Stuart Wilson hair salon; a gym with the latest high-tech equipment, a dedicated dance studio space for yoga and fitness classes, a luxurious village spa equipped with hydro pool, sauna, steam room and a deluxe experience shower, luxurious treatment rooms, and a sumptuous owners’ lounge with cinema screen.

The Pavilion also houses the villages newly launched on site restaurant and bar, The Orangery, with talented Head Chef Danijel Furjan at the helm. The stunning feature glazing that gives the restaurant its name, looks out onto the sunny south-facing terrace and beautiful gardens, offering a light and fresh space to relax with friends and family. Here guests can experience effortless dining with a real focus on simple, fresh and seasonal flavours that showcase the best of the Cotswold’s and Gloucestershire’s local produce.

The well-considered and appealing menu offers a range of delicious options to suit every taste and there’s also an excellent selection of fine wines, along with an elegant cocktail list, including The Orangery Signature Cocktail. The restaurant is also open for Sunday Lunch with a traditional menu to suit all the family, offering a selection of roasts accompanied with all the trimmings. Or there’s the option of Afternoon Tea, offering a classic combination of hot beverages with freshly made sandwiches, scones, pastries and sweet treats.

Whether simply enjoying the charm of the restaurant and bar, with the option of al fresco dining in the summer months, or to celebrate in the private dining room for those special occasions, The Orangery offers the perfect casual dining space for everyone. The restaurant is open Sunday to Thursday 12pm-4pm and Fridays and Saturday 12pm-8pm, whilst the bar opens Monday to Thursday 9am-8pm and Friday and Saturday 9am-5pm.
