Fete
Siddington Village Fete and Dog Show returns on Saturday 21st June on the playing fields in Parkway between 1pm and 4pm.
The Fete will be opened by local legends, Ray Keen and Barney the dog – quite possibly next to a dalek!
There will be children’s activities and games, a plant stall and a big raffle, a tombola and the very popular ‘water or wine?’ bottle game. All these plus various craft stalls, activities and games galore!
Fun Dog Show
The Dog Show was a new addition last year and given most of the village have dogs, was highly subscribed, with proud dogs and even prouder owners parading their rosettes casually past the stalls afterwards. It may be a hard act to follow, but we expect an even bigger turn out this year.
This year the dogs will be judged by popular local vet Rod Benson.
All well-behaved dogs are welcome to enter the Show and to enjoy the Fete with their owners, but they must be kept on leads and under control.
Refreshments
Once again, the church ladies are running the refreshment tent including their wonderful home baked cakes and scones, teas, coffees and soft drinks. Nearby is the ice-cream stand, the beer tent and barbecue. It’s guaranteed you will not starve! There will be extra beer this year, and Pimms, as the hot weather last time produced a rush on the beer to such an extent that in the end, we only had wine left to offer. So sad!
Music and Raffle
Live music from local bands will add to the summery atmosphere of this typical English afternoon, only taking a break for the announcement of the raffle prizes by our local To book a stall is £20.
