Cirencester’s street piano, delivered in partnership with The Corinium Hotel and Restaurant and Cirencester Town Council will be back for summer 2024!
Following the success of the 2023 installation, Cirencester Town Council and The Corinium Hotel and Restaurant have worked together again to deliver Cirencester’s version of artist Luke Jerram’s “Play Me I’m Yours” Project….’The Keys to Cirencester’.
The piano will be installed at the front of the church from early June and will be in available for use most days between 10am and 7pm; anyone is welcome to come and play!
David Sherriff, Corinium Hotel and Restaurant said; “The Corinium Hotel is delighted to be working with Cirencester Town Council and the Parish Church for a second year to sponsor a street piano in the town’s Market Place. We are really looking forward to another summer of watching both residents and visitors take to the keys and demonstrate their talents or just having access to somewhere to practice their musical skills in public.”
Cllr Sarah Orr, Mayor of Cirencester and Lead Member, Community Services said “We are delighted that the piano will be back this year after it’s popularity over the summer of 2023. It was great that the opportunity to play was available to everyone, whatever their skill level and we look forward to hearing more this year! Our thanks to The Corinium Hotel for providing the piano again this year and the Parish Church for their support with the location.”
