Business Countryside Local Services

Austin´s Country Store: Our Story

It all started in Coates way back in 1932, moving to Cirencester in 1977 and then to its current location in Love Lane in 1984. In 2000, the business was sold to another local family who developed and evolved the business to what it is today.

The company is now run by third generation brothers providing a wide range of garden products and tools, smokeless fuels and firewood, Stoves, Flue Systems including Outdoor Fires & Heaters. There is now also a great café on site which opened its doors in 2020.

The Stove Store Cirencester is based in Love Lane at the heart of Cirencester industrial estate, we have an extensive range of stoves on display, including woodburning stoves, multifuel stoves and highly efficient and controllable pellet stoves, with a number on live display.

Our knowledgeable HETAS trained staff are on hand to provide you with the information you need and to answer any questions that you may have. We can provide a complete installation service or supply only to include the stove and all the relevant flue system components. We can also carry out building works to an existing fireplace.

For speed and efficiency, we offer Virtual Surveys, this allows you to submit your request online and our team will review the details and provide an estimate for the work requested, sometimes a site visit is still required, our team will discuss and arrange this with you after reviewing the information.

Book an appointment with our team in our Showroom, to discuss our range of quality stoves and how we can help with your project.

Once your lovely new Stove is installed, the Firewood Solid Fuel Centre have in stock all the fuel you need to enjoy warm winter evenings and have an extensive range of quality smokeless fuels, “Ready to Burn” firewood, heat logs and pellets.

We also stock water softener salts, in tablet and block form, a wide range of garden composts and manures.

All loaded into your car by our experienced friendly staff or can be delivered to your door by our own delivery vehicles.

Winter will soon be upon us, but we don’t know what winters are about nowadays, years back we had proper snow, the sort that made proper snowballs and snowmen, not these fluffy snowballs that we get now.

Roads became impassable, cars getting stuck in drifts, having to climb out of the boot to escape your car (yes this happened to one of us!), villages cut off.

A feel-good story from then was that we had an elderly customer in Winson near Bibury, roads were blocked and cut off, and she was running very low on fuel, so we made her delivery of coal by swapping our delivery lorry for a JCB digger and delivered her much needed coal in the front bucket.

We got our faces in the local newspaper for that!
