Nailsworth Rotary Charity Concert in St John Baptist Church Cirencester  18th May

Nailsworth Rotary Charity Concert will be in St John Baptist Church Cirencester Concert with performances from Bournemouth Male Voice Choir and The Minchinhampton Stuart Singers – 18th May 7.00pm

Bournemouth Male Voice Choir

The Stuart Singers and the Bournemouth Male Voice Choir are busy rehearsing for their joint concert to be held on Saturday 18th May at 7.00 pm at St John the Baptist church in Cirencester.

This is a performance not to miss, and you will be raising money for local charities including Cirencester Housing for Young People (CHYP)

Bournemouth Male Voice Choir is group of men, from all walks of life with a mutual love of music and a desire to perform songs to an outstanding level. They perform regularly throughout the year on behalf of charities, community groups and at private functions.  They have raised and donated over £100,000 to charities over the past four years.   In September 2019 the choir visited us in Nailsworth and raised over £3,000 for our local charities.

As well as singing beautiful sacred music the choir lets its hair down more than you might think!   “lollipops” – doo-wop, songs from Shows, boy band numbers, romantic ballads and some fancy footwork shows that they aren’t all work and no play.

Stuart Singers

The Stuart Singers, based in Minchinhampton have been performing for over 30 years and they too have raised significant funds for charity.  We are delighted that these two wonderful choirs will be fundraising for us again. The Stuart Singers are a friendly and fun loving choir with singers from across Gloucestershire, they strive for high standards, and certainly achieve this.

In 2019 the two choirs raised the roof at St George’s Church Nailsworth , the concert was a huge success, the atmosphere electric and uplifting.

These combined choirs of almost eighty voices will be welcoming the arrival of summer with an eclectic mix of songs from stage and screen and some golden oldies too.

Both choirs have been raising money for charity for many decades, and this concert to welcome summer is no exception. One of the beneficiaries of the night will be CHYP, Cirencester Housing for Young People, a local charity which provides 24 hour supported accommodation for young homeless people between the age of 16-25 in the Cotswold district area.

From a tribute to Queen to a drop of Tequila via the barricades of Paris, there’s something to delight everyone.

Tickets are £15.00 and can be bought online at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/nailsworth-rotary-club or at www.stuartsingers.com.

The concert is being organised by Nailsworth Rotary as part of the Bournemouth Male Voice Choir Cotswolds Tour.
