
Followers of the Oscars will know that Anora beat Conclave, Emilia Perez and I’m Still Here to the Oscar for Best Picture but none went home without a win. We also have Maria, the story of opera singer La Callas nominated in the Best Cinematography category.

There are screen musicals: Jesus Christ Superstar was filmed on the 2012 Arena Tour and features Tim Minchin as Judas, and Six is a screening of the 2025 London Vaudeville ‘pop’ show about the wives of Henry VIII.

There are three family favourites: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Mufasa, the Lion King are self-explanatory but parents will love Dogman best with its wacky humour and its thoughtful encouragement to spread love and do good wherever possible.
Finally, we have the latest instalment of the number one movie Bridget Jones – Mad About the Boy, with a second screening with subtitles for the hard-of-hearing. It has tears and laughter in abundance.
