Subtitles have taken over Barn Cinema this month, with one screening each Sunday, so there is no need to allow muffled hearing to stop anyone from returning to the movies.
Anatomy of a Fall and The Boy and The Heron are two stories in foreign languages, so subtitles are essential. Both are Golden Globe winners and strong contenders for Oscar glory. The first is a taut courtroom drama. The second is a career-best Studio Ghibli animation where the dead and the alive co-exist.
Wonka is a blockbuster from the makers of Paddington 2. This is the origin story of Willy Wonka. With chocolate and Oompa Loompas; what more could you want?

Fast cars perhaps? Ferrari is a biopic thriller by director Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) starring Adam Driver that is getting rave reviews.
The feel-good factor? One Life is the debut movie from director James Hawes (Black Mirror) about the life of Nicholas Winton, played by Anthony Hopkins, who helped 669 mainly Jewish children escape from the Nazis.
Or first-rate stage drama? Vanya is the latest national release from National Theatre Live with Andrew Scott (Fleabag) bringing multiple characters to life in Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya – a story of hopes, dreams and regrets.
Come back to the cinema and book now to get the best seats!
