Put your best foot forward for young people with disabilities and transform lives with every step
On Sunday 12 April 2026, National Star is holding their fifth sponsored Sunrise Walk.
National Star is a charity and independent specialist further education college for young people with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries and associated learning difficulties. By taking part in the Sunrise Walk you will help to raise funds that will support these young people as they develop independence and prepare for their adult lives.
We encourage you to sign up for National Star’s sponsored Sunrise Walk. There are two routes to choose from, a more challenging 13k route and a 3k more accessible route suitable for people with limited mobility, those using sturdy electric powered wheelchairs or children and pushchairs.
Both routes set off from Ullenwood, Cheltenham, GL53 9QU at 5.40am in the dark, ensuring everyone will greet the sunrise looking over Cheltenham. All participants will receive a well-earned breakfast bap upon completion.
Registration is £20 per adult, and we ask each participant to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship.
All the money raised goes towards providing equipment, resources, and facilities for students at National Star.
