Following a successful run at the Barn back in 2021 and it’s subsequent transfer and sell out at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast, the Barn Theatre are preparing to take the production on another short tour of the UK.
Opening at the Barn on the 23rd August it runs at the Cirencester venue for 3 weeks until 14th September, then transfers to the Everyman in Cheltenham before going to The Bolton Octagon followed by a run at the Salisbury Playhouse with a possible extended tour again in 2025.
The Olivier Award winning production follows features a small village in rural Ireland turned upside down by the arrival of a Hollywood studio to film the latest historical blockbuster. Told through the eyes of local lads Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn, who are employed as extras, where it soon becomes clear that Tinseltown’s romanticised dream of Ireland is a long way from reality.

Room 13 written exclusively by renowned West End writers, Duncan Abel and Rachel Wagstaff, Room 13 is the Barn’s first foray into the ghostly world!
Inspired by the ghost stories of MR James, this Barn Theatre world premiere is guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seats with an adrenaline-filled, hair-raising night of entertainment you won’t forget.
In a lonely hotel, four strangers are forced to spend the night in Room 13. Bearing the weight of their own grief, shame and darkness, they come to realise that Room 13 has secrets of its own.
