About me.
I have held global roles in large complex companies as a Senior HR Director and Business Leader in a career spanning three decades. I have coached business leaders and HR teams creatively sparking debate about follow up actions and forward planning.
Qualified as a Myers Briggs practitioner and attended the Henley Business School Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching, combining real world business experience with a solid academic grounding.
I have navigated my career whilst having two sons and have managed to juggle work and life balance. I enjoy supporting clients through starting a new career, transitioning in a new direction, or just working with me to find out where you want to go. I have over thirty years’ experience of recruitment and career planning and this gives me the experience to know what the landscape looks like and how you can shine.
Style
I have a creative style of coaching, as one size does not fit all. I pride myself on being flexible and adaptive ensuring that the client gets what they need. I have led many transformation projects and so dealing with change and all its dilemmas is a particular interest of mine. It is important to get a sense of connection with my client and challenge their thinking in a trusting and authentic way.
Bringing a sense of fun with an engaging communication style and a desire to support your journey wherever you want to go.
Introduction to our sessions
To make the coaching and/or mentoring experience as effective and valuable as possible, it’s important to start with a shared understanding of, and commitment to, the purpose and practicalities of the work we are going to do together. This document can help support the achievement of this and provide a smooth start to the coaching relationship.
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a thought-provoking process that inspires individuals to maximise their potential. It’s collaborative by nature to empower individuals to make positive changes that align with their values and aspirations.
As a coach, it’s not my role to offer my advice, but instead, use coaching practices that enable you to learn by evoking awareness of your knowledge and capability. I will help facilitate self-discovery, aid in the development of personal or professional goals and help you develop a plan for achieving those goals.
What is Mentoring?
Mentoring is a learning partnership where I share experience or advice related to my background in international business or human resources.
Programme pre-work and considerations
To help you get the most out of coaching and mentoring, here are some things to consider before your first session and throughout the program.
Areas of focus – Before the first session, it may be useful to start thinking about what you would like to explore, such as topics, results, outcomes, and goals that you’d like the coaching and mentoring to support you with. Although the sessions will help you to shape this, coming with some initial thoughts for your first session can be helpful in maximising the value of the time we have together.
The 16Personalities test – You can complete a personality profile for free with www.16personalities.com. This test is designed to help you better understand who you are and why you do the things the way you do. Completing this profile is completely optional and should you choose to complete it, there is no need to discuss any of the results with me (unless you choose to do so), but it may be a useful tool to use alongside the coaching sessions. It may help provide insight into areas you’d like to further explore during your coaching or provide context around thoughts and behaviours which are uncovered during the coaching sessions.
Coaching and Mentoring Program Information
A session includes preparation time, approximately 60 minutes 1:1 interaction, and follow-up as needed.
Each program is a minimum of two sessions at £100 each session.
Dates
From the date of the first scheduled session, the program will likely be completed within 2 months, depending on the length of time between each arranged session. This will be discussed to find a rhythm that works for you. I would ask for 24 hours’ notice , for cancellations.
Location
Sessions with be held virtually via video communication (zoom), unless agreed otherwise.
Confidentiality and Sharing Information
Individual coaching conversations are in complete confidence. However, if anything arises that leads me to be concerned about your safety or wellbeing, others’ safety or wellbeing, or potential serious illegality, I have a professional duty to follow the law and to protect individuals. I may thus have to reveal such information to protect individuals. Unless instructed by law, I would discuss the issue with you and how we should manage the situation together.
