Selwyn’s poem is called The Serpent Ring.

Talking about it, he says; “For 12 years, the Somewhere Else Writing Group has provided the support and inspiration I needed to finish my novel, Going Up Camborne Hill. The book follows Cornish emigrants who carried their mining expertise, engineering skills, and rich cultural traditions across the globe—a journey reflected in this poem extracted from it.”
