What if your voice could feel more confident, more expressive — and simply more like you? For Lisa Pearce Coleman, the voice is about far more than singing.
Lisa is the founder of Vocal Journey, a specialist voice coaching business based in the Cotswolds, helping people discover, develop and feel more at home in their own voice.
With an MA in Professional Voice Practice and more than 25 years’ experience teaching Music, Singing, Theatre and English as a foreign language, Lisa works with a wonderfully diverse range of people — from young singers taking their first steps to experienced performers, teachers, professionals and adults who simply want to feel more confident when they speak.
Perhaps you’ve always wanted to sing but never thought you were “good enough”. Maybe you want to improve your technique, range, tone or performance skills. Or perhaps speaking confidently, communicating clearly or refining your accent is important to you.
Voice coaching can be valuable in all sorts of situations — from ministers, teachers and coaches who rely on their voices every day, to wedding speeches, presentations, auditions, interviews and public speaking.
For others, the journey is more personal. Lisa provides specialist coaching around voice and identity, including voice feminisation, masculinisation, androgynous voice and gender expression. Her approach gives people the opportunity to explore vocal change in a supportive, knowledgeable and non-judgemental environment.
Vocal health is an important part of Lisa’s work too — helping people understand how to use their voice efficiently and sustainably, whether singing or speaking, particularly when their voice has been affected by illness, treatment, dysphoria, vocal strain or the demands of everyday life.
Whatever brings someone through the door, Lisa believes that voice coaching should be about the whole person, not simply producing a particular sound.
Sessions are individually tailored, practical and supportive. Vocal Journey welcomes people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences, with sessions available in person in Cirencester, or online.
“Every voice journey is personal.”
For Lisa, the aim is not to give someone a different voice or tell them how they should sound. It is to help them explore what their voice can do — and, ultimately, to find a voice that feels authentically theirs.
So, whether you want to sing with more freedom, speak with greater confidence, perform, communicate more effectively, or explore a voice that better reflects who you are, perhaps your own Vocal Journey is ready to begin.
