There was a buzz in the air at the Sundial Theatre this Wednesday, as businesses from Cirencester gathered to hear about this year’s business awards.

A big thank you to Morris Owen our main sponsor, who also sponsored the launch this year.

This year will be the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce’s 10th business awards and the event will be held at a NEW VENUE The Pavilion at Ingleside House, on the 15th May 2020 at 7pm.

Network with other local business people.

The president of the Chamber, Annemarie Thurgood, gave a presentation explaining that the committee are planning some exciting new additions this year, including a very special offer from Cirencester Growth Hub.

Annemarie thanked everyone that supported last year’s event including the sponsors, entrants and attendees; she also acknowledged that without them the awards would never happen.

Annemarie was pleased to inform the audience that over  60% of category sponsorship had already been sold, Thanks go to McGills, Air Salvage International, Cirencester College, Bathurst, FRC Financial Planning and The Number Cruncher for their support. There are still 4 categories left to sponsor and there are also still a number of event and table sponsorship packages available. So if your business or organisation would like to support the event please get in touch using the details below.

The members also heard from Rebecca Cotton about the money raised from last year’s auction, which was donated to Chyp & Cirencester Foodbank. We also heard from our amazing hosts Cirencester College, who kindly hosted our launch. Clara, one of the directors of Non Solo pasta also gave a presentation. Non Solo Pasta provided the catering for the evening, which was enjoyed by all; they were also a runner up in last year’s awards.

To make the awards truly successful and creditable the Chamber urges businesses to celebrate their successes and enter this year. There were a record number of entries last year, this year the Chamber aims to match this success.

Entries are now open on the Chamber website www.cirencesterchamber.org.uk. Whether you are a one-man band or large corporate enterprise the awards are open to all. The awards are free to enter if you are a member and only £25 if you are not (for non members their businesses need to be located within the GL7 area).

The judging will once again be carried out by independent judges based outside of the local area.

The Chamber looks forward to receiving your entries. If you have any questions or would like to find out about sponsorship or tickets then please contact the Chamber Secretary who will be happy to help info@cirencesterchamber.org.uk
