CTC Markets June 21

As we head towards the final stage of the Government’s Roadmap to Recovery, we’re excited to be working towards delivering our full calendar of events for the rest of the year; we’re even, cautiously, discussing arrangements for Christmas!

All the town’s markets, both indoor and outdoor are fully open with some additional dates.  The Corn Hall Indoor Market, for example, is now open on Sundays. We’re also hoping to add some extra outdoor markets – look out for last minute changes on our social media.

The 5th to 12th June is our Youth Initiative week where we will be supporting young entrepreneurs.  As we’ve been unable to hold our annual Youth Market, we’ve devised an alternative way of promoting and supporting the young talent in the area.  Look out for some new faces on the markets that week as well as case studies and business promotions on our social media.  If you’re aged between 16 and 30 and would like to be involved, please email markets@cirencester.gov.uk.

As we look towards the summer months, we hope to be able to deliver a number of speciality markets, a Food Festival and another Vintage Market. Everything will still be a little different this year and we will continue to provide a safe shopping environment for all our visitors and traders.  This includes changes to the layout of markets which can mean a reduction in stalls making it easier to maintain social distancing.

Thanks to all our customers who continue to support local businesses by shopping locally.
