Tour of the Stores
Wednesday 25 June, 11am
The Resource Centre, The Old Prison Site, Northleach
£9-£10
Come and join our collections team for a tour of the stores. There are all sorts of objects behind those doors: from prehistoric to the 1950’s, through stone, costume, pottery, rural life and social history. We have scythes and hoovers, pottery from all ages and Roman mosaics, carved column plinths and stone coffins, medieval tiles and corbels, smocks and horse collars. We’ll take you round and tell you all about what we have and what we do in the stores; then focus in on some of the Cotswold histories that can be told from some of our objects. The store is full of surprises.

Exhibition
Cultures & Creatures
Thurs 29 May – Sun 29 June
Helen and Leslie met a fair few years ago at Sheffield University. Finding themselves both in Gloucestershire, they talked increasingly about their creative activities of painting and photography. They are inspired by their travels, with Leslie on safari photographing the most beautiful wild creatures and Helen’s paintings reflecting the cultures and landscapes she’s experienced. Now they are collaborating on the exhibition at the Corinium Museum.
AlxCeramx, or Alex Holmes to go by what most of the world call her, is a Leeds-based ceramicist influenced by organic forms and the quirkiness clay as a medium allows for. When she isn’t pottering, she’s a lecturer at the University of Leeds in Pharmacology.
