David Durston & Anita SaundersForce of Nature Exhibition

30th Nov – 4th January

Force of Nature is an evocative exhibition featuring the works of two local artists, David Durston and Anita Saunders.

This show celebrates their profound connection to landscape and nature through painting and traditional printmaking. David, a revered Head of Art at Westwood’s Grammar School and The Cotswold School, left an indelible mark on the art community. His mentorship and inspiring approach to art significantly influenced Anita, who once was his student. Though David and Anita had discussed holding a joint exhibition, David’s passing made that dream unfulfilled—until now.

Curated in collaboration with David’s wife, Sue, this exhibition brings together the works of these two artists for the first time. It stands as a tribute to David and a testament to his role as a catalyst for creativity in others.

Anita reflects on David’s impact: “His legacy and influence as a prolific artist, always exploring new avenues of his passion for painting and printmaking, makes the exhibition title ‘Force of Nature’ truly fitting.”

We invite you to explore this joyful collection and celebrate the enduring influence of David Durston’s artistic spirit.
